Academic Technology Committee

 Future

The purpose of the Academic Technology Committee is to jointly advise the Butte College Academic Senate and the District's Technology Council on any matters involving the use of technology to aid in the delivery of instruction and student learning. The ATC is also the primary input mechanism for advising the Office of Instruction's Technology Mediated Instruction (TMI) office in matters related to the configuration of the District's Learning Management System (Canvas) and associated Supplemental Tools (LTIs). This committee organizes the Fall Faculty Symposium which is a full day of presentations during Fall FLEX Week on topics related to technology and education. If you have an idea for a symposium presentation we are always interested.

Overall, the role of the ATC is advisory; the ATC does not supersede the leadership role of the Academic Senate or the Office in Instruction in academic and curricular matters that involve technology.

Meetings are open to the public and occur on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 3:30-5:00 PM in LRC 125.

Voting Membership: 2023-2024:

If you have any questions about technology at Butte College, please let us know. We are always looking for topics and or presenters to present at the Fall Faculty Symposium.
